Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH- Head Coach and General Manager Don MacAdam announced Wednesday that the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL have re-signed forward Marco Caprara.

"There was no doubt that Marco was an exciting player for us this past season. He improved as much as anybody in our lineup from the beginning of the season," said MacAdam.

"The fact that he spent three weeks in the American Hockey League at the end of the season is proof of that improvement. Marco only knows one way to play and that is all out-all of the time. Our fans will have a chance to see that next season again. We are thrilled to have Marco back in Dayton with the Bombers."

Caprara played in 59 games as a rookie with the Bombers this past season, scoring 12 points (5G, 7A) and led the Bombers in penalty minutes with 230.

Caprara also led all rookies and tied for second overall in the ECHL with his 24 major penalties this season and his 230 penalty minutes were tops amongst all rookies in the ECHL.

During his time in the American Hockey League with the Providence Bruins, Caprara played in 8 games, scoring one goal and accumulating 16 penalty minutes.

"I just wanted to come back to the Bombers because I had a great time playing in Dayton last season," said Caprara. "The fans are great. The city of Dayton is great. I look forward to doing my part in bringing success to the Bombers next season."

Caprara, a 5'-10", 174-pound native of Woodbridge Ontario, came to Dayton after playing three years at the major junior level with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League. He appeared in 188 games, had 54 points (23G, 31A) and 794 penalty minutes.
