
Bombers Offense Scores Early and Often and as They Beat Texarkana 8-2

Bryan/College Station - The Bombers took flight early and often and did not look back as they crushed the Twins 8-2 with offense from everyone in the lineup. The Bombers have stay hot in the second half of the season as they have won 6 of the last 7 games, and look to get the sweep tomorrow night against Texarkana on Sunday.
The Bombers wasted no time tonight as they opened the scoring with an RBI single from Hunter Coleman in the bottom of the first, scoring Ridge Rogers.The Bombers offense really took off in the bottom of the 3rd inning where they scored 5 runs. Hunter Coleman started it off with a hard single to left field for his 2nd RBI of the day. Jordan Yeatts followed it up with a double to left field, driving in Logan Sartori and Hunter Dobbins. Kyle Bergeron extended the score to 7-0 with a RBI double to left field in the bottom of the 4th inning. Bombers tacked on one more in the bottom of the 8th off of a single from Tyler Cauley.
Several Bombers had multiple RBI's in tonight's game, but Hunter Coleman led the way by bringing in 2 RBI's on his 2 hits and also scoring a run on a wild pitch in the 3rd inning. Jordan Yeatts also came up big for the Bombers driving 2 RBI's and collecting 2 hits including a double. Bryant Shellenberger did the dirty work on the basepaths as he scored two runs tonight while also collecting 3 hits of his own.
Bombers pitching was lights out tonight as they allowed just 2 runs on 6 hits. Cannon Davis started the game and was dominant from the start as he collectd 4 strikeouts and allowed just 2 runs on 4 hits in 5.1 innings. Bryce Bennett was absolutely masterful in tonight's game as he pitched 3.2 innings out of the pen and allowed just 2 hits as he collected the save in tonight's game.
The Bombers return to action this weekend facing off with the Texarkana Twins Sunday July 28th looking for the sweep against the Texarkana Twins!
