Brazos Valley Bombers News Release
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas - After 18 thrilling games of summer baseball, the Texas Collegiate League has announced its first set of TCL Co-Hitters of the Week. Brazos Valley Bombers first baseman Shelby Becker is one of two founding recipients of this prestigious award for the 2021 season.
Becker walked into his first season with the Bombers looking to make an impact, and in the team's seven games played thus far, it's safe to say he's done exactly that. With 25 at-bats, Becker drew five walks while recording 10 hits, including a double and a triple to right field. Against the Sod Squad, Becker posted three hits with a perfect 1.000 on-base percentage and dominant 1.333 slugging percentage. The first baseman's .400 batting average paired with his multiple stolen bases make Becker an offensive threat against even the most solid of defenses.
