Bombers Fall Short to Seguin in Their Cinderella Story Championship Win

Bryan/College Station, TX - Bombers fall short of a championship tonight with a final score of 3-1. The River Monsters played a great game making plays where it mattered on defense to secure good outs and won the TCL. They brought a big fan base along with them showing the spirit of Seguin in their impressive run this season and with that they were victorious. The Bombers had trouble converting hits into runs and left lots of runners on base and with calls that were questionable to Bombers fans resulted in a loss.

Parker Airhart started things off offensively in the fourth for the Bombers with a single through the six hole! In the very next at bat, Bomber Simon Larranaga placed a ball in almost the exact spot for a base hit of his own advancing runners! Even though they weren't able to convert in this inning this set the Bombers up great for the next bottom inning with good momentum going in this championship game.

In the fifth, division 1 athlete Cole Modgling kept things going for his team with a single smacked into right field to advance base runners and get himself on base. Justin Harris logged a single hit into left field to keep hopes high for this team proving how clutch of an athlete he is. To follow this up Christian Smith Johnson also earned a base hit to advance his teammate and add to the momentum.

In the sixth inning, Justin Harris and Christian Smith Johnson earned base hits adding to the offensive power hitting. In the seventh, Cole Modgling and Casey Sunseri both earned singles and helped the team get to the energy they needed to score. To follow up these hits Parker Airhart logged an RBI single to score Cole Modgling for the Bombers first run of the night cutting the deficit down to 2 runs!
