
Bombers Face off against Cane Cutters

Bryan-College Station, TX - The Bombers went on the road to face the second place team in the Texas Collegiate League, the Acadiana Cane Cutters. The Bombers dropped the first of the two game set, 1-11.
Hunter Neal started on the mound where he was able to go four innings and strike out six before the Cane Cutters chased him from the game with a six run bottom of the fifth. Brandon Barbery came in to relieve Neal and proceeded to give up five runs in the sixth inning.
The lone run scored by the Bombers came in the top of sixth from John Grimsley on a dropped third strike by the Cane Cutters catcher. The team recorded ten hits over the course of the night but was unable to capitalize on their opportunities.
The Bombers return to play tomorrow night to wrap up their series with the Cane Cutters before returning home on Tuesday, June 28, to face the Texas Marshals.
