Johnstown, PA (March 25, 2007) - The Dayton Bombers defeated the Johnstown Chiefs by a score of 3-2 at the Cambria County War Memorial in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon.

Dayton got on the board early in the second period, when Paul Kelly scored seventeen seconds into the Bombers' first power-play. The goal was Kelly's 21st of the season and he got help on the goal from Greg Labenski and Bryce Anderson.

The Bombers stretched the lead to 2-0 at 7:52 of the second when Trevor Hendrikx took a backdoor pass streaking down left wing and beat Chiefs goalie Ryan Munce to the glove side. The goal gave Hendrikx four this season with Joe Cullen and Brent Walton adding assists on the play.

Jean Desrochers added a dramatic goal with ten seconds remaining in the second period to cut the Bombers' lead in half. After pushing a face off forward, Desrochers chipped the puck deep into the Bomber end of the ice. The Chiefs forward then chased down his own dump-in, drove to the net along the goal line, and stuffed it in between the post and Dayton goaltender Terry Denike's left leg.

The teams exchanged goals in the third period with Bryce Anderson scoring his second of the year for Dayton at the 8:23 mark, Paul Kelly and Tim Konsorada assisted, and Desrochers scored his second of the game with 3:02 remaining in the game with help from Dmitri Tarabrin and Grant Jacobsen.

Desrochers had a chance to tie the game at 2-2 with a penalty shot at 6:12 of the third period, but Denike stood his ground and turned the shot away.

The Chiefs finished 0-6 on the power play, including a four-minute advantage on Joe Cullen's interference and holding-the-stick double minor. Ryan Munce made 27 saves on 30 shots for Johnstown, but took the loss.
