
Bombers Complete Homestand Sweep

Bryan/College Station, TX - The Bombers continue to find ways to win at home, defeating the Texas Marshals 10-4. While for the first three games of the homestand, the Bombers were led by their pitching, tonight the Bombers bats were the driving force towards victory at Travis Field.
The Marshals got the early jump on the Bombers, scoring one run each in the first and second innings to take a 2-0 lead. The Bombers would respond in the bottom of the 2nd inning with a two run triple from Christian Sepulveda and Dylan Bonhert drove him in on a fielder's choice. The Bombers scored a pair of runs in the 3rd inning, as a Alex Nielsen drove in Cole Coker and Cam Blake to push the lead to 5-2.
The Bombers bats stayed hot in the 5th as Alex Nielsen crushed a triple to score Cam Blake and Christian Sepulveda brought home Nielsen on a RBI double. The Marshals did respond with a pair of runs of their own in the 7th inning. The final runs of the game for the Bombers came in the 8th inning, the first being a Christian Sepulveda leadoff home run, the second being a Chase Kemp RBI single, and the last being Sy Snedeker scoring on a wild pitch to make the score 10-4.
The Bombers now head to Louisiana to take on the Cane Cutters for a pair of games before having two days off. The Bombers return to Travis Field on Friday, August 3rd for Aggie Night at the ballpark against Acadiana. Tickets are on sale now at bvbombers.com.
