
Bolts roll to huge victory over Storm

Rockford, IL- Rockford returned to action Wednesday night for the second of back-to-back home games riding the momentum after defeating the Idaho Stampede on Tuesday night. Just like Tuesday's game against the Stampede, the Lightning had to rally back, and they were successful as they defeated the Great Lakes Storm 116-107.
Rockford got into a hole early, as they lost the first quarter of the ball game, 35-18, but fought back to take the final three quarters of the game. By winning, the Lightning earned six quarter points to help them out in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Brian Lubeck scored 22 points to lead the scoring for the second straight ballgame for the Lightning, shooting 9-for-19 from the floor. Stais Boseman, Jermaine Walker and Cordell Henry each had seven assists in the contest for the Lightning. Livan Pyfrom nabbed seven boards to lead the rebounding for the Lightning, who improve to 21-18 on the year. Jackie Butler tallied 28 points for the Storm to lead Great Lakes in the loss.
Rockford goes on the road to face the Michigan Mayhem this Friday night at 6:05 p.m. at the Walker Arena in Muskegon, MI. Then, the Bolts return to the MetroCentre to face the Mayhem again in a 3:05 p.m. match up on Sunday, February 27. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under receive a Rockford Lightning youth jersey, sponsored by the Rock River Valley Life Goes On committee. Life Goes On is a public awareness initiative by the Illinois Secretary of State about the lifesaving need for organ, tissue, blood and marrow donation. Locally, it includes representatives from the Secretary of State's Organ and Tissue Donor Program, Gift of Hope, Illinois Eye Bank, Rock River Valley Blood Center, National Marrow Donor Program, donor families, recipients, health care professionals and community leaders. Agnus Jackson returns for the third time this year for a pre- and post-game concert, and the Jesse White Tumblers come back to entertain the crowd at halftime. To get your tickets, give the!
