Corpus Christi, TX- The Corpus Christi Hammerheads and Odessa Roughnecks clash on Monday, April 18, 2005 for the first time this year, in what is sure to be a match up of interest for years to come. The unbeaten Roughnecks have a rejuvenated team that is stacked with talent and armed with fury. After finishing third out of six teams a year ago in the IFL, the Roughnecks have so far tamed their NIFL foes. After punishing the Beaumont Drillers, narrowly defeating the Lincoln Capitols, and withstanding a late run by the Fayetteville Guard the Roughnecks have emerged unscathed and look to stay on their road to victory. Unfortunately for them that road to victory takes them through the Shark Tank. The players are ready and emotions are running high for this game. The Stage is set for the biggest game to be played in the New American Bank Center yet, and there are under 1,000 tickets left for this game in what promises to be the biggest crowd in Hammerheads history. The Roughnecks have been to Corpus Christi before, but they have yet to feel the wrath of The 9th Man. This Monday our 9th Man will be 7,500 screaming Hammerheads fans.
