Bismarck Bobcats News Release

BISMARCK, ND - As the Bismarck Bobcats prepare for their 20th season of junior hockey in Bismarck/Mandan, the team is pleased to unveil its logo for the 2016-17 campaign.

Designed in conjunction with K1 Sportswear, an official jersey supplier to the North American Hockey League, the platinum anniversary logo features the team's vegas gold logo with "Bobcats" in block lettering, layered on top of the silver Roman numeral XX.

Above the team logo appear nine stars: three in black and six in gold. In a style similar to that of international soccer teams, each black star represents a Bobcat league title (2003, 2004, 2010) and each gold star symbolizes a playoff division title (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016).

"When you look at this new logo, it represents a great message: honoring the franchise's past successes while still being rooted very much in the team's present," commented Bobcats team owner and CEO Thom Brigl.

This logo will be the team's primary crest for 2016-17-featured on this season's home jerseys-with an alternate version used on the away jerseys and a rectangular "20 Years" patch that will appear on both uniform sets.

Designs for both the home and away 20th anniversary uniforms will be released at a later date.

A busy offseason continues for the Bobcats on Friday, July 22, when the Cats open 2016 Main Camp at the VFW Sports Center and running through July 24. Main Camp will be open to the public all weekend long.
