
Bobcats Nip Bruins Again

Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins completed the Bismarck road trip this Friday night at the VFW Sports Center. Bismarck took the lead early on in the first period. Austin's Brandon Wahlin was fed by Chris Fischer and dented the back of the twine tying the battle 1-1. Austin was outshot 14-12 in the first frame. The middle period the Bobcats jumped on the board early taking a 2-1 lead. Austin than silenced the VFW when John Simonson went five hole on Tommy Burke. The Bobcats capitalized on the power play as Castan Sommer tipped a shot from the point past Tyler Bruggeman. At the second intermission the Bobcats outshot the Bruins 33-24. The third period the Bruins could not prevail as Tommy Burke shut the door for the Bobcats. Bobcats would go on to win 3-2.
