Blues' Rally Comes up Short

July 11, 2015 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Bristol Blues News Release

In last night's matchup between the Brockton Rox and the Bristol Blues at Muzzy Field, the Blues were downed by a score of 6-5 after climbing back from a 3-0 deficit that they fell into in the very first inning. Starting pitcher Tim Cate had a rough start allowing three runs in the first, but was able to settle down to pitch four scoreless innings for the Blues.

The Blues were led offensively by Gerrad Rohan and Ryan Rinsky. Both players were able to contribute two RBI's to the score to help the Blues erase the deficit. Brockton was not going to go down lightly as a three run eighth inning was all they were going to need to close out the Blues six game winning streak.

Losing pitcher for the Blues was Robert Paccione who surrendered just one run on the night. The one run however, was the winning run for the Rox. Winning pitcher for the Rox was Jake Fishman.

The Blues are back in action tonight, July 11, as they head to Nashua to take on the Silver Knights. First pitch is scheduled dor 7:05pm.
