Blues Claim Forward David Koci On Waivers

St. Louis, Mo. (October 21, 2008) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the team claimed forward David Koci (KOH-chee) on waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Koci, 27, has appeared in one game with Tampa Bay this season, posting four penalty minutes. The 6-6, 238-pound left winger has skated in 28 career NHL games, recording 160 penalty minutes.

The Prague, Czech Republic native was originally Pittsburgh's fifth round selection, 146th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.

The Rivermen will travel to Milwaukee on Friday to take on the Admirals at 7:00pm. The game can be heard live on Hippie Radio 101.1FM or online at www.rivermen.net. The team will return to Carver Arena on Saturday to battle the Lake Erie Monsters in a two-game series. Game time is set for 7pm on Saturday with the rematch scheduled for the following afternoon at 3pm.
