Blues Begin Road Stretch Sunday at Arizona United SC

IRVINE, Calif. (July 4th, 2015) - A stretch of four straight road matches begins Sunday night as sixth-place Orange County Blues FC (7-6-1, 22 pts) visits eighth-place Arizona United SC (6-7-1, 19 pts) at Scottsdale Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT.

This will be the third matchup between the two sides. United won the first showdown in the Blues' home opener on March 28th, 2-1, behind goals from Dennis Chin and Robbie Derschang, while the Blues won the second match at Anteater Stadium on April 18th, behind two goals from Christofer Ramirez and one from Luka Petricevic.

Orange County is coming off of two straight wins, both at Anteater Stadium. Didier Crettenand's two goals led the Blues to a 3-2 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on June 27th, and Ramirez's seventh goal of the season was just enough to defeat OKC Energy FC on July 1st, 1-0.

Arizona was defeated by Portland Timbers 2 this past Thursday at Merlo Field in Portland, 3-1, and defeated Real Monarchs SLC at Scottsdale Stadium on June 27th, 2-1. Scott Morrison scored the game-winning goal in second half stoppage time to give United the win.

Ramirez's seven goals lead the Blues, while Crettenand, Seung Ju Kim, and Christopher Santana lead the team in assists, with three each. United is led by Long Tan's seven goals, and Jonathan Top, Chin, and Derschang have two assists each.
