
Bluefish sweep Pats in walk off win

The Bluefish went tied with the Patriots into the ninth inning of the series finale at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Thursday night. The Bluefish pulled the game out in the bottom of the ninth inning when P.J. Rose singled in Deivi Cruz from third for the win.
Larry Barnes and Travis Anderson both recorded singles with no outs in the second inning for Somerset. Beech battled back striking out Jim Burt and Fernando Lunar, and forcing George Sandel to fly out to center.
Nick Ortiz and Barnes both reached base for the Patriots and scored when Anderson doubled to right centerfield in the third.
Cruz reached base for the Bluefish in the bottom of the third inning and continued to score when Willis Otanez ripped a triple down the first-base-line.
Ortiz knocked in Pat Boran in the top of the sixth inning to give the Patriots a 3-1 lead.
Damian Rolls got on base to lead off the bottom of the sixth for the Bluefish, and Hine followed suit. Bryant Nelson then came up and drove home Rolls with a grounder to short. Cruz grounded to second scoring a run after, making the score 3-3.
The Bluefish take on the Atlantic City Surf in a three game set at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard this weekend.
