BlueClaws Drop 4th of July Game 17-5 at Delmarva

SALISBURY, MD - Gregory Lorenzo led a 17-run offensive outburst from Delmarva, the most runs the BlueClaws have ever allowed, as the Shorebirds topped Lakewood 17-5 on Thursday night at Perdue Stadium.
Lorenzo went 4-5 with 5 RBIs and had a pair of triples with the bases loaded - one scoring three and another two with the third runner thrown out at the plate.
The BlueClaws had allowed 15 runs just once - in Hagerstown on 4/20/2012 - before allowing 17 tonight, the most ever by a BlueClaws opponent. Delmarva had 17 hits in the game, the second most allowed by Lakewood this season.
Delmarva, who tied the game at 2 with a first inning home run by Chance Sisco (4th), scored in seven of their eight turns at bat, scored at least two runs in five different innings, and scored three runs or more in the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th innings in improving to 9-4 against the BlueClaws this year.
Creede Simpson and Sisco each had three hits for the Shorebirds.
Andrew Knapp hit his 4th home run of the season for the BlueClaws - all have come since June 21st. Andrew Pullin had two hits and has hit safely in 16 of his last 17 games.
Julio Reyes (1-2) gave up four runs in 3.2 innings for the BlueClaws. Jesen Therrien allowed seven runs in two innings and Chris O'Hare gave up six runs (four earned) in 2.1 innings of relief.
The series continues on Saturday night at 7:05. RHP Jon Prosinski (2-1, 4.15) starts for the BlueClaws opposite RHP Hunter Harvey (5-4, 3.14).
