PENSACOLA, Fla., - With the fifth season of baseball just around the corner, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos have announced that pink foul poles have been installed at Blue Wahoos Stadium. The Blue Wahoos will be the only team in Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball to have pink foul poles.

The foul poles are in place for this weekend's Cox Diamond Invitational. Southern Miss and Michigan State will be the first teams to use the field with the pink foul poles.

Rubine red, which has a pink tint, is one of the team's alternate colors. The team has historically worn special rubine red jerseys for Sunday home games. The addition of the pink foul poles is to show support for breast cancer awareness while also serving as a tie in to co-owner Bubba Watson.

Watson, who is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, has used a pink driver since 2012. In partnership with Ping, limited quantities of the pink drivers have been sold to raise funds for charity. Using his pink driver, Watson teed off from home plate during the press conference announcing his partnership with the team in January of 2015. The driver he used is on display in Bubba's Sand Trap behind home plate.

The first game of the 2016 regular season at Blue Wahoos Stadium is on Tuesday, April 12th against the Jacksonville Suns. Blue Wahoos season tickets, mini plan packages and single game tickets are available for purchase at Hill-Kelly Dodge Pick-Up Window and by calling (850) 934-8444. Follow the Blue Wahoos at, and
