Blue Wahoos Announce Flyover, Promotional Schedule

The Blue Wahoos have a full slate of promotions set for their inaugural season beginning with Opening Day. The club received confirmation this week from the United States Navy that a flyover by the Blue Angels will kick-off the first season of Double-A baseball in Pensacola. The flyover will take place immediately following the National Anthem during the pre-game ceremonies.

This is not only the kick-off of a historic moment in Pensacola's history, but it is also the beginning of a summer's worth of fun and excitement that fans will find at Blue Wahoo games. The Blue Wahoos are working hard to make sure that fans will be entertained every night they attend a game, and that fans get a great value for their time and money. To do so, the organization has developed a promotional line-up that is sure to leave a lasting impression on Northwest Florida.

Fan Appreciation Fridays and Saturday Night Fireworks are the headliners for the daily promotional calendar, while Thirsty Thursdays and Family Sundays are sure to make a splash as well. Each Friday game will feature a souvenir giveaway item while a stunning fireworks show will cap every Saturday night game at the stadium. Family Sundays are each Sunday home game. Promotions and activities are geared towards families including, among other things postgame catch on the field and kids can run the bases. Thirsty Thursdays are every Thursday with the exception of Opening Night. Fans can take advantage of $2 12oz beers and $1 12oz sodas from 5:30p.m. - 8:00p.m. The other nightly promotional nights are as follows:

- Social Media Mondays: Tweet to @BlueWahoosBBall and have a chance to see your message on the videoboard

- Team Tuesdays: Special pre-game player autograph sessions

- What's Happening Wednesdays: Wacky themes, crazy guests and special appearances
