Blue Sox Host Swamp Bats on Throwback Night
July 8, 2013 - New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL)
Valley Blue Sox News Release
Holyoke, MA - It's going to feel like 1982 on Tuesday night at Mackenzie Stadium as the Blue Sox will have Holyoke Millers Throwback night.
Fans will get the chance to buy popcorn for just $1 as that was the price of it back in 1982.
The Blue Sox hope throwback night will bring them some good luck as they take on the Keene Swamp Bats in Holyoke.
Holyoke (11-11) will be meeting up with Keene for the third time this season, with the previous two times resulting in wins for the Blue Sox. Holyoke defeated Keene 7-6 on June 12 and most recently 6-3 on Friday.
Keene (8-12) has found struggles on the road this season away from Alumni Field going just 4-8 on the road in 2013.
The Blue Sox and Swamp Bats are set for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch at Mackenzie Stadium with the gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
