FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Dunedin Blue Jays jumped out to a 6-0 lead, and then held off a late charge from the Fort Myers Miracle to claim a 6-4 victory on Saturday night at Hammond Stadium.

Fort Myers scored a run in the ninth to get within 6-4, but Lewin Diaz struck out with the tying runs on second and third to end the game.

Dunedin scored single runs in the first and second innings on RBI singles from David Jacob and Joshua Palacios.

Leading 2-0 in the fifth, the Blue Jays scored twice more on a Bradley Jones double and an error from Miracle first baseman Diaz. Single runs in the sixth and eighth innings capped off the scoring for Dunedin.

Andro Cutura pitched five innings and allowed four runs (two earned) on eight hits. Cutura (3-2) walked one and struck out three.

Andrew Vasquez and Logan Lombana pitched two innings apiece. Both allowed a run.
