Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City Named Official Health Insurance Partner of Kansas City NWSL

KANSAS CITY - Kansas City NWSL announced a partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) making Blue KC the official jersey sleeve partner of the club. In addition, Blue KC and KC NWSL are collaborating on a behavioral health platform which will be introduced later this season.

A KC NWSL Founding Partner, Blue KC's logo will appear on the right sleeve of the jerseys to be worn by KC NWSL players at home and away matches, and will also be featured on retail fan jerseys. The club debuts the Blue KC sleeve this Saturday, June 26 when KC NWSL takes on the Washington Spirit at 7:30 p.m. CT at Legends Field.

"For more than 80 years, Blue KC has bettered the health of Kansas Citians and we're thrilled to join our platform with their efforts, particularly working to improve behavioral health across the region," said KC NWSL Co-Founder and Co-Owner Chris Long, "Wearing the Blue KC logo on our jersey sleeves is a reflection of the shared commitment we have to this community."

In addition to the kit sleeve and the behavioral health programming, Blue KC will be featured on the club's media backdrop, which is utilized for all KC NWSL media events. Blue KC will also be the second-half presenting partner for eight match broadcasts on KCTV/KSMO, and will be included in matchday final scores on social media.

Kansas City NWSL was announced as an expansion team in December 2020. Since then, the team has seen incredible support from the community and local businesses.
