The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will have their strongest presence at this year's Grey Cup after defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 19-3 in last week's Eastern Final.
As the Blue Bombers aim to bring home their 11th Grey Cup title, fans are reminded of the many events taking place in Vancouver where they can make their Blue and Gold presence felt. Touchdown Manitoba - a Grey Cup staple since 1993 is the largest Manitoba Social of Grey Cup Week and the unofficial kick off to the Grey Cup Festival.
The 2011 version of Touchdown Manitoba will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre - East Convention Level in Exhibition Hall C. Tickets are $18 and will be available at the door prior to the 1pm start time.
Touchdown Manitoba is a party. One of the better events at each Grey Cup, it features live music, a DJ, traditional social food, memory keepsake photo booth, QB Football Toss, a special visits by the Grey Cup, Blue Bomber Alumni, Labatt Blue Lightning Dance Team, Buzz & Boomer and several other special guests along with the Bomber Store.
The Blue & Gold festivities will also be going strong all weekend as for the first time ever, the Blue Bombers will be hosting the BLUE & GOLD HOUSE at the Elephant & Castle on Burrard Avenue from Thursday until post game Sunday. Stop by to have a beverage, breakfast, lunch and dinner! This is your place for everything Bombers. The Bomber Store, Blue Bomber alumni, mascots, special VIP visitors all weekend long and great food and beverage specials! Entrance fee is $5 per visit and space is limited however $10 if your wearing Green.
