June 19, 2013 - Coastal Plain League (Coastal Plain)
Morehead City Marlins News Release

Morehead City, N.C. - The Morehead City Marlins nearly completed a comeback victory, however, it was the Columbia Blowfish who ended up on top when all was said and done with a 5-3 victory at Big Rock Stadium in Morehead City, N.C. on a beautiful Wednesday night.

The Marlins trailed by a score of 2-0 heading to the bottom half of the sixth inning and came back with a three-run sixth led by RBI singles off the bats of Chase McDonald and Brad Haynal, as well as a bases loaded walk drawn by Hayden Jones.

However, the Columbia Blowfish got the last words in the argument with a three-run top half of the ninth, which was highlighted by RBI singles from Eros Modena and Dylan Kelly.

Hayden McCutchen picked up the win for the Blowfish, while Jonathan Bobea suffered his first loss of the season for the Marlins.

The Marlins continue a three-game, three-day home stand on Thursday night at 7:05 PM when they welcome the Petersburg Generals to Big Rock Stadium.
