Elmira Jackals News Release
The Elmira Jackals 2010-2011 season kicks off this Friday with the Fifth Annual Block Party at 5:00 p.m. followed by the home opener at 7:35 p.m. as the Jackals battle the defending Kelly Cup Champion Cincinnati Cyclones.
Fans and media are invited to attend the block party, with inflatables from Bobby K Entertainment and player red-carpet introductions headlining the event. All players will be available for interviews as they are introduced, providing a terrific opportunity for a live remote broadcast for television and radio stations.
The Jackals are 3-0 in home openers since joining the ECHL. Elmira defeated Cincinnati 5-2 in the 2009-2010 season opener at First Arena. The game will be the Jackals' first under their new head coach, Malcolm Cameron.
