Green Bay Blizzard News Release
The Green Bay Blizzard is the 2008 American Conference Midwest Division Champions. With a 10-5 record going into their final game of the regular season, the Blizzard clinched the championship Thursday night.
The Lexington Horsemen were defeated 79-81 by the Quad City Steamwheelers Thursday night to give the Blizzard a one and a half game lead in the division with their one remaining game left this Saturday night against the Mahoning Valley Thunder.
This is the second Division Championship in the last three seasons for the Blizzard. The team won the Eastern Division Title in 2006, when they made it all the way to the ArenaCup title game.
The Blizzard will host a first round playoff game on Friday, August 1st. The game will feature a "BUCK NIGHT"! $1 Beer, $1 Soda and $1 Hot Dogs all night long. Tickets are on sale now.
