Chris Thompson, a tough 5'10", 195-pound defensive back from NCAA Division II Catawba College, has signed with the Green Bay Blizzard.

Thompson saved his best for last at Catawba, excelling during his senior season, when he made 42 tackles and intercepted three passes from his strong safety position. One of his picks went for a 42-yard touchdown return.

"Chris is an instinctive safety who covered the field well, made lots of good reads, and made some big plays in college," said Roberson.
