Blizzard Player Tries out for Packers

GREEN BAY, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard are proud to announce that defensive lineman Junior Amuavae became the sixth different Blizzard player to tryout for an NFL team during the 2012 off-season.

Amuavae (6'2, 330) worked out for the Green Bay Packers during the past week. Amuavae was a disruptive force on the defensive line for the Blizzard in 2012 as he accumulated 38 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two pass breakups.

"We're very happy to have the Packers workout Junior", said Blizzard Head Coach Robert Fuller. "He was a critical part of our success and deserving of the opportunity."

Amuavae joins fellow Blizzard players RB LaRon Council (Packers), LB Aaron Moore (Bucanneers), DB Reggie Sullivan (Packers), OL Shannon Breen (Colts, Browns, Jets, Steelers) DL Lebron Daniel (Packers) who have tried out for NFL teams this off-season. Amuavae played collegiately at Minnesota St.

The Green Bay Blizzard also announce that individual tickets are now on sale and can be purchased for as low as $8 per ticket.

The Blizzard's 2013 season starts on Feb.15 as the team faces the defending Indoor Football League champions in the Sioux Falls Storm.
