
Blizzard Clinch 5th Consecutive Playoff Spot

Coming into Friday night's game against the Milwaukee Iron the Green Bay Blizzard were one win away from clinching a 5th
consecutive playoff spot. After a 60 to 20 win the Blizzard locked in that playoff spot and the Milk Can and now can focus one this week's matchup, the Mahoning Valley Thunder.
Quarterback Gino Guidugli had a record setting performance throwing for 218 yards and five touchdowns bringing his season passing total to 3,642 yards breaking Johnny Turman's passing total from 2005 of 3,599 yards passing in a season with one game still remaining this season.
Three of Guidugli's touchdown passes went WR Nate Forse which brought his season total to 26 touchdowns tying Robert Garth's record of 26 touchdowns scored in the 2004 season. Forse will looking to break the record this weekend against the Thunder.
The Blizzard currently leads the overall series between over the Thunder with three wins and one loss. July 26th , 2008 was the most recent matchup and the Blizzard beat Mahoning Valley 61 to 13.
All practices will be held in the Resch Center this week. Media members are invited to attend practice on Wednesday morning at 11:15 with interviews following practice.
