Blizzard Announces Player Tryouts

Green Bay Blizzard News Release


The Green Bay Blizzard has announced the date of their first open tryout for the 2005 arenafootball2 season:

Sunday, January 16, 2005
7:00am-12:00pm
TDS Players Choice
W3035 County Road JJ, Appleton

The format for the tryout will be as follows:

QB, RB, WR, DB
Registration: 7:00am-8:00am
Tryout: 8:00am-10:00am

OL, DL, FB, LB
Registration: 9:00am-10:00am
Tryout: 10:00am-12:00pm

All participants will be measured for height and weight, and tested in the following drills:
* 40-yard dash
* Bench press (225-lb reps)
* 20-yard short shuttle (5-10-5)
* Position-specific drills
* Coverage drills
* 3-on-3
* 1-on-1

All participants will be required to sign a waiver. Registration is $50.00 and will be collected the day of the tryouts. Payment must be in the form of cash or money order (payable to the Green Bay Blizzard). Checks will not be accepted. Registration forms will be provided the day of the tryout. THERE WILL BE NO PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THIS TRYOUT.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes, such as shorts and t-shirts, and should wear shoes suitable for use on Turf. Tryouts for kickers will be held at a later date. Updates for this tryout and future tryouts will be given on the Green Bay Blizzard Player Hotline: (920) 405-1259.
