The Green Bay Blizzard won the American Conference Semifinal game against the Iowa Barnstormers, 51-46 and move on to face the WB/Scranton Pioneers in the American Conference Title game. The Blizzard had another hard fought game against the Barnstormers but came away with the victory.
Top performers for the Blizzard included quarterback Gino Guidugli, wide receiver Nate Forse and defensive back Rayshaun Kizer. Guidugli completed 20 of his 33 passes for 253 yards and six touchdowns while Forse caught seven passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, Kizer lead the team with five and a half tackles and an interception. Defensive back Anthony Ivy also had a nice game with three and a half tackles, six pass breakups and an interception.
Moving on to this week the Blizzard have another opportunity to play the Pioneers at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The Pioneers won the first match up earlier this season, and each team will battle for the chance to move on to ArenaCup10 in Las Vegas.
