Bakersfield Blitz News Release

BAKERSFIELD - Bakersfield Blitz take on Spokane Shock for the second time on Saturday, May 6, at Spokane. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Spokane Arena.

"We have tried to put together a championship team," Head coach Gary Compton said. "At our home opener we lost by four points, so we are going to work hard to give them their first loss at their home."

The Blitz last met with Spokane for their season home opener and left defeated, 49-45. If the Blitz come home with a win, they will be tied for first place with Spokane in the Western Division standings; handing Spokane their first loss.

By courtesy of the Spokane Shock organization, live streaming video of the May 6th game will be provided via www.spokaneshock.com. The game will be available free of charge. The game will also be broadcasted live on KERN-AM 1410 with host, Puck Whitnack.

Season tickets for the Blitz 2006 season are still on sale, as well as single game tickets. Ticket plans start at the prorated price of $70 and single game tickets are as low as $10 in the lower bowl. Tickets will be available at the Rabobank Arena box office and any Ticketmaster location.
