Bakersfield Blitz maintained their winning streak as they dominated the game against the Rio Grande Dorados, 53-45. Tonight's game brings the Blitz to an overall record of 5-1, holding their first place spot in the National Western Division.
Ben McCombs (6'4, 260) opened the game with an interception for 7 return yards.
Schutt's Offensive Player of the Game, Nathan Munson (5'11, 195) was the leader in touch downs tonight with 3 touch downs for 53 yards. However, highlighted touch down of the game goes to Offensive Specialists, Rennard Reynolds. In the second quarter, Reynolds caught a 29-yard pass by quarterback Mike Wall that sent him flipping over the wall in the end zone.
U.S Army Ironman of the Game, Jerry Turner (6'3, 270) had a total of 1 tackle for 6 yards and 1 sack for 6 yards.
The Bakersfield Blitz will continue their dominance in the af2 Western Division when they play the Stockton Lightning on Saturday, May 20th. Kick off is set for 7:00pm at the Rabobank Arena.
