
Blazers Sign 2002 Born Forward Reese Belton

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have signed 2002-born forward Reese Belton to a standard WHL education agreement.
Belton was chosen by the Blazers in the fifth round, 97th overall in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
The Winnipeg, MB native played this season with the Winnipeg Wild of the Manitoba Midget AAA league and had 16 goals, 27 assists and 43 points in 45 games.
"Reese is a right shot center that had a terrific season in the Manitoba Midget AAA hockey league," commented Director of Player Personnel, Matt Recchi. "We are excited about his development this season and look forward to watching him challenge for a roster spot in 2018-19."
Belton, who stands at 6'1" and 165lbs, is the seventh player from the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft that the Blazers have signed. The other players include forward Josh Pillar (1st round), goaltender Dylan Garand (3rd round), defenseman Trevor Thurston (4th round), defenseman Ethan Brandwood (7th round), forward Riley Ginnell (7th round) and forward Daylan Kuefler (10th round).
