
Blazers Lease Extended Through 2013-14 Season

Oklahoma City, Okla. â The Oklahoma City Blazers current lease at the Ford Center was extended through the 2013-14 season, the club's front office announced today.
The extension was approved unanimously by the OCPPA (City Council of Oklahoma City). The initial term runs through the 2008-09 campaign; with a three-season, followed by a two-season extension available at the Blazers' option.
The Blazers base rental arrangement remains intact at $8,500 for games played Sunday through Thursday; $10,000 on Fridays; and $12,500 on Saturdays. Other changes to the lease include the following:
· Labor expenses capped on a nightly basis at $2,100 for the first two levels of the Ford Center and $2,600 when the upper level is opened.
· Protocol established in determining video board and LED services provided as well as pre-approved rates prior to the start of the season.
· Reduction in the minimum number of home games played annually from 35 to 30.
· Blazers retain up to $500,000 of club/suite ticket revenue annually; retain 50% above $500,000.
· Blazers retain 25% of gross concession revenue up to $200,000 annually and 12.5% above $200,000.
· Additional game-day advertising opportunities made available to the Blazers.
· Lease still allows City of Oklahoma City to pursue prospective NHL tenant.
The Oklahoma City Blazers franchise recently completed its 12th season of play in the Central Hockey League. In those 12 seasons, the Blazers have averaged nearly 9,300 fans per game, have led all of North American minor professional hockey teams in attendance four times and enjoyed one of the top winning percentages in all of professional hockey.
The Blazers will begin its 13th season in October of 2004. Season ticket prices for the 2004-05 season are expected to be announced in the near future.
