Naomi DeuFriend, the Director of Operations and Community Relations for the Fort Worth Brahmas, has been selected by the Central Hockey League as the league's employee of the month for the month of April 2004.

DeuFriend, who has been with the Brahmas since July of 1998, oversees and implements all of the Brahmas community relations programs, including the Blacktop Brahmas Summer Tour, and the JPS Hospital Healthy Goals events. She also coordinates and executes all Brahmas' player appearances.

In addition to her role in the Brahmas community events, DeuFriend is responsible for all of the Brahmas box office operations, including season ticket distribution and group ticketing functions.

Brahmas general manager Mike Barack said the league recognition for DeuFriend is well deserved.

"In her six years with the organization, Naomi DeuFriend has been one of our best employees. Her loyalty to our fans, sponsors, and this community is tremendous. The work ethic and passion that she brings to her job on a daily basis is second to none. Her value to our staff is immense, and I am very excited to see her recognized by the CHL," Barack stated.

DeuFriend is the third Brahmas front office staff member to be selected as a CHL Employee of the Month. Executive Vice President Bill Yates was honored in March of 2003 and former ticket salesman Pat Harvey was recognized in September of 2003.

DeuFriend and the rest of the Brahmas front office are already preparing for the upcoming 2004-2005 CHL season. The Brahmas will begin their fourth season in the CHL and the eighth season in franchise history in October of 2004. Season ticket and advertising packages are on sale now.
