The Chicago Blaze makes it two in a row by defeating the Blizzard 106-74 at home. Behind shooting 56% from the field, the Blaze took a 25-point lead into the locker room and returned the second half just as hot.
For the Blaze, Mfon Udoka led the way scoring 27 points, in 27 minutes. Anna Deforge finished with 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and Latonya Johnson finished with 17 points. For the Blizzard, Maxanne Reese scored 23 points and Elaine Powell finished with 20 points.
The Blaze head to Tennessee tomorrow morning to face the Fury and then return home next Sunday, March 9th to host the Fury. Tip-off time set for 3pm.
The NWBL showcases professional women basketball players across the nation; including players from the Women?s National Basketball Association (WNBA) who choose to stay in the U.S. to play during the off-season. The 2003 season will run from February through April.
