Naperville, IL - The Chicago Blaze improved to 11-9 on the season and moved to within a half game of the Lubbock Hawks for the number three playoff seed by defeating the San Jose Spiders 85-42. The Blaze was led by Tamika Catchings who finished with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Kelia Beachem added 16 points and 9 rebounds and Latonya Johnson finished with 12 points.
Natalie Nakase was the sole Spider in double figures finishing with 10 points. The Blaze will look to move into a tie for third place with the Lubbock Hawks tomorrow when they take on the Birmingham Power.
