Michelle Snow (6'5, C, University of Tennessee â02) was selected by the Houston Comets (10th overall) in the 2002 WNBA Draft. On November 25, 2001, Michelle became the first woman to dunk on live television in a game between Tennessee and Illinois. She averaged 10.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game during her career at Tennessee. Michelle averaged 3.9 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Comets in her rookie season. She scored a career-high 16 points versus the Los Angeles Sparks August, 8, 2002.
The Houston Stealth (1 6) plays the Tennessee Fury (3 3) Tuesday, March 3, at Autry Court. Tip-off is at 8 0'clock.
Michelle is expected to play this Tuesday versus the Fury. Tennessee's roster includes guards Marie Ferdinand and Semeka Randall of the WNBA's San Antonio Silver Stars and Becky Hammon of the WNBA's New York Liberty.
John Chancellor is in his second year as the Houston Stealth's head coach and the Stealth plays in the National Women's Basketball League (NWBL). The Houston Stealth is the defending NWBL (Pro Cup) Champion. The Stealth will play its home games at Autry Court (8 games) and Hofheinz Pavilion (1 game) this season. Tickets are on sale at www.NWBL.com/stealth. The NWBL heads into its third season with six teams expanding the United States and these teams will play a twenty-game season from February 1 to April 13, 2003.
