
Blast Win MISL Regular Season Title

The Baltimore Blast traveled to Pennsylvania this afternoon to play the Roar for the sixth time this season. After tonight's 18-2 win, the Blast now have a 6-0 record against the team. The win tonight brought the Blast to a 17-3 record for the regular season and have clinched the number one seed for the MISL playoffs.
The first quarter was a low scoring start to the game. Max Ferdinand got the Blast on the board first off an assist from Drew Yates at 12:15 on the clock. Ferdinand was able to net another goal before the end of the period giving the Blast an early lead.
Pat Healey scored first in the second quarter at the 8:30 mark. This was Healey's sixth goal of the season. Adriano Dos Santos followed with a goal off an assist from Mike Lookingland at 8:00 in the quarter. The Blast went into the half up 8-0.
The second half picked up for the Blast when Aduato Neto assisted Lucio Gonzaga for the teams 5th goal of the night. At the 9:03 mark in the quarter Adriano Dos Santos extended the Blast lead with a goal. Chris Williams was able to put the Roar on the scoreboard at 7:57 . Tony Donatelli quickly answered for the Blast with a goal of his own. Max Ferdinand assisted Aduato Neto with 2:57 left in the quarter and Diego Zuniga scored to cap off the 10-point quarter for the Blast.
The Blast had held on to their lead into the 4th quarter and remained into control. No goals were scored in the quarter. At the final buzzer, the Blast had won 18-2.
The Blast played a strong game tonight on the road and their away record was improved to 8-2. Offensively, Max Ferdinand and Adriano Dos Santos led the Blast with 2 goals each. Defensively goalkeeper William Vanzela recorded 17 saves in the victory.
