Blades Suffer 6-2 Loss to Pats

The Regina Pats, led by a hat trick from Jordan Eberle, walked out of Credit Union Centre on Saturday night with a 6-2 victory over the Saskatoon Blades.

The Pats win comes after they were dealt an 8-1 loss at the hands of the Blades under two weeks ago at the Brandt Centre in Regina.

The Blades saw their 2 goals in the game come off the sticks of Stefan Elliott and Derek Hulak with Jyri Niemi and Elliott each adding helpers.

Meanwhile, Regina's 3 other goals came from Graham Hood, Kyle Mulder, and Brett Leffler.

Defenseman Teigan Zahn and Jyri Niemi were each a team worst -3 for the Blades.

The Blades power play was 1 for 2 on the night while their penalty kill was 2 for 4. +

Saskatoon goaltender Braden Holtby allowed all 6 goals on 30 Regina shots while Linden Rowat picked up the victory in goal for the Queen City bunch with 23 saves on 25 shots.

Saskatoon, who are without Travis Toomey and Adam Chorneyko (injuries), will now return for their 20th game of the season on Friday, November 7th when they welcome the Everett Silvertips to Credit Union Centre. Tickets can be purchased by calling 938.7800 or visiting ticketmaster.ca.
