Blades announce promotional dates

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades 2008-09 home schedule is once again loaded with promotional items, and special events for their fans! The festivities kick off on opening night when the Everblades begin their 11th season on October 17 vs. the Charlotte Checkers.
Fans attending the home opening game will receive an Everblades light-up necklace and a special news paper section courtesy of the Naples Daily News. In honor of 2008 being an election year, on October 24 fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite player to be the 2008-09 Everblades Bobblehead! Election booths will be set up around the concourse and throughout the game fans can place their vote! The player receiving the most votes will have his likeness on this years bobblehead doll!
The more popular promotions are back once again this season with the Everblades handing out items such as magnetic schedules, team photos, team calendars, player card sets and, of course, the bobblehead! The Everblades will also be holding four special jersey nights that will feature live auctions following those games!
Also returning this season will of course be the "Teddy Bear Toss" on December 13, and the "Puck Toss" contest will be back for another season. Every Saturday night fans will have a chance to win an autographed Everblades jersey by tossing a foam puck through the sunroof of a Saturn car on the ice.
