RoadRunners Head Off To AHL Training Camps

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, announced today that 11 players on the current 2008-09 roster will be attending American Hockey League training camps when they officially open Monday.

Forwards Wes Clark, Dan DaSilva, Andrew Desjardins, Bryan Esner, Gino Guyer, James McEwan; defenseman Matt Burke; and goaltender Paulo Colaiacovo will all be participating at training camp with the Worcester Sharks.

Forward Peder Skinner and defenseman Andrew Andricopoulos are both attending training camp with the Lake Erie Monsters, the primary affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, while forward Mitch Carefoot will be at training camp with the Milwaukee Admirals, the primary affiliate of the Nashville Predators.

The RoadRunners 2008-09 roster currently features forwards Mitch Carefoot, Wes Clark, Kimbi Daniels, Dan DaSilva, Andrew Desjardins, Bryan Esner, Gino Guyer, James McEwan, Daniel Sisca, Peder Skinner and Chris Stevens; defenseman Andrew Andricopoulos, Matt Burke, T.J. Campbell, Rob Dmytruk, Bryan Nathe, Tom Sawatske, and Brett Thurston; and goaltender Paulo Colaiacovo.

Phoenix will play a two-game pre-season series against the Florida Everblades Oct. 10-11 at Germain Arena in Estero, Fla.

The RoadRunners open their fourth ECHL season Oct. 17 when they welcome the Victoria Salmon Kings to US Airways Center for a three-game Opening Weekend series.
