UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves announced today that Pat Saunders has signed a two-year contract extension.
Saunders, who had single-season career highs in five statistical categories last season, is now signed through 2019. As per team policy, no terms were released.
"Pat continues to work very hard at his game and has shown that he is an elite scorer in the NLL," Black Wolves head coach Glenn Clark said. "Having Pat under contract for the next few years is important for us. It keeps our offensive group intact and allows us to continue our growth as an offensive unit."
The left-handed forward has a member of the franchise since 2014. He had single-season career highs in goals (44), assists (32), points (76), loose balls (76) and power play goals (16) for the third consecutive season in 2016. He also had seven hat tricks during the season, another career-best.
