New England Black Wolves News Release
UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves have named Andrew Suitor team captain while Shawn Evans and Brett Manney will serve as assistant captains.
Suitor, who joined the Black Wolves in a trade during the 2015 season, is currently on injured reserve. Until he returns, Evans will serve as captain and Kyle Buchanan will be the other assistant along with Manney.
"We feel very strongly about our leadership group," Black Wolves head coach Glenn Clark said. "They are all team-first guys that will help the coaches create a winning environment. We took our time and let the leaders emerge and were unanimous in our selection."
The captain for three seasons in Minnesota prior to being traded to New England in April, Suitor served as an assistant captain with the Black Wolves before being injured. Manney, who was an assistant captain for the majority of the 2015 season, wore the "C" for the last New England games last year.
New England opens the 2016 home campaign tonight against the Calgary Roughnecks at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by visiting blackwolves.com or calling 844-LAX-WOLF.
