Black Hawks down, Ohio wins 6-4

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks 6-4 Sunday night at Nationwide Arena. Forward Tim Hall had a goal and three assists for the home team.

Ohio (7-30-7, 21 pts.) fell behind 2-0, early in the game, before defenseman Dennis Urban took a pass from Hobbs to make the score 2-1 at the half way mark of the first period. Three minutes later, forward Alex Dostoinov tied the game at two with an unassisted goal to end the first period scoring.

Hall gave Ohio a 3-2 lead 48 seconds into the second period, with assists from defenseman Chris Reed and forward Danny Hobbs. Urban and Hall would again team up for an Ohio goal when Hobbs took a pass from winger Charles Brockett and fed Urban for his second goal of the night.

Ohio then took a 6-2 lead and secured the victory with two goals in 15 seconds. Midway through the second period, Hall and Reed set up defenseman John Ryder for Ohio's fifth goal of the night. Moments later, forward Zac MacVoy took a pass from forwards Daniel Barczuk and Derek Roehl to finish the scoring for Ohio.

In the third period, Waterloo (26-12-3, 55 pts) added two goals before the game ended in a 6-4 win for Ohio.

The Junior Blue Jackets will travel to Indiana to skate with the Ice Saturday night at 7 p.m., before returning home to face the Green Bay Gamblers at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
