Black Bears Lose to Corvallis 3-1

Longview: June 20, 2012: A two-run double in the eighth inning gave Corvallis a lead that they would not relinquish as they went on to beat the Black Bears 3-1 Wednesday night at Story Field.

The Black Bears took the lead in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Tyler Madrid (Santa Ana), the first of two hits by him. Matt Ozanne (Santa Clara) had multiple hits as well. The Black Bears got runners on first and second with two outs in the ninth but couldn't take advantage of the opportunity.

Leko Galusha (Lower Columbia) started for the Black Bears and had an outstanding outing, allowing only one earned run on five hits.

The Black Bears next game is Thursday, June 21st at Story Field at 6:35 PM. It will be Estetica Day Spa Thursday & Ladies Night. There will be $2 beer and discounted prices on alcohol. All ladies attending the game will receive a $2 discount on the game day ticket price. It will also be Kelso Schools Spirit Night.
