
Black Bears Drop Second to Diamond Dogs

PITTSFIELD-The Berkshire Black Bears never got out of the gate tonight as they lost to eh Albany Colonie Diamond Dogs by a score of 15-1.
Starting pitcher Ken Henderson went 3 1/3 innings before leaving with an arm problem. He allowed 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 1. Alex Lelless came on for Henderson but had a tough time finding the strike zone. He lasted 3 innings giving up 11 runs on 9 hits and 3 walks; he struck out 2.
Knuckleballer Trad Sokol came on in the 7th to finish the game giving up 3 more runs on 5 hits while walking 1 and striking out 1. The only Black Bears to hit in double digits was Ryan Smith who had two singles. Todd Brock, Chris Vasquez, Adrian Mendoza and Ryan Nevis also had one hit each on the night.
The Black Bears finish their series with Albany tomorrow afternoon at Wahconah Park at 2:05.
