TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Syracuse Chiefs in the final game of a four-game series from Alliance Bank Stadium (7:00 p.m.). Trailing 2-1 in the series, the Herd is looking to earn a split with a victory tonight. The Bisons have a two-game series against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at home on Thursday and Friday for their final home games before the All-Star break.

vs. THE CHIEFS: The Bisons are 4-7 against Syracuse this season. The Herd had won three straight against Syracuse, including a two-game sweep at Coca-Cola Field last week. However, the Chiefs have won the last two contests to improve to 10-3 against Buffalo in their last 13 games at Alliance Bank Stadium.

"MISCH"IN POSSIBLE: LHP PAT MISCH has won his last three starts. Since June 22, the All-Star has posted a 3.00ERA and 10 strikeouts in 21 innings of work. The southpaw leads the Buffalo pitching staff in quality starts (11), innings pitched (103.1), ERA (3.40) and is tied for first place with 8 wins. In his only previous appearance against Syracuse this season, Misch allowed one run and posted a season-high seven strikeouts in a victory on June 1 in Buffalo.

PADDING STATS: OF JORGE PADILLA enters tonight's game on a ten-game hit streak. The outfielder has averaged .366 (15-41) with three doubles, six RBI and nine runs scored during the stretch. Since joining the team on June 16, Padilla has hit in 15 of the 18 games he's played in.

ZIPPITY DUDA: Last night, OF LUCAS DUDA smacked another three hits including a double and two RBI. Since joining the Bisons on June 14, Duda has had a hit in 16 of his 20 game appearances. He has 22RBI in those 20 games and his 14 extra-base hits give him a .722 slugging percentage. Duda was named International League Batter of the Week for June 28 - July 4.

BULLY FOR THE PEN: RHP JOSE DE LA TORRE has given the Herd eight consecutive scoreless appearances since June 15. Since then, De La Torre has only given up just one walk and struck out nine in eight innings of work. On the season, De La Torre has limited left-handed hitters to only a .182 (6-33) batting average and no extra-base hits.

METS UPDATE: The Mets (47-37) won the second game of a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds last night, 3-0. LHP JOHAN SANTANA did it all, pitching a complete game, three-hit shutout. The southpaw also homered for the first time this season en route to the his sixth victory. New York will play the rubber match against Cincinnati tonight at 7:10 p.m. from Citi Field.
