TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons will face the Durham Bulls in game one of a four-game series from Durham Bulls Athletic Park (7:05 p.m.). Despite yesterday's shutout, the Herd won their series against the Norfolk Tides, 3-1. Tonight's game continues Buffalo's eight-game roadtrip. The Bisons will return home June 12 for an eight-game homestand starting with Lehigh Valley.
VS. THE BULLS: The Bisons currently lead the Bulls in the season-series, 3-1. Buffalo last met Durham at Coca-Cola Field, April 27-30. Since the Herd's return to the IL, the Bisons are 25-23 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
GOLLY GEE: RHP DILLION GEE takes the mound in tonight's game. Gee currently leads fellow Bisons pitchers in wins (6) and strikeouts (61). In his last four starts, Gee has gone 3-1 with a 2.92ERA and 28 strikeouts. Gee is also second on the Bisons with his 3.84ERA (LHP PAT MISCH, 3.33).
MVP PROMOTION: The Mets selected the contract of OF JESUS FELICIANO last night. Feliciano, who will be making his major league debut with New York, was leading the IL with a .385 average, or 57 points higher than any other batter. He also led the IL in hits (72) and was second in on-base percentage (.426). Feliciano was the Bisons 2009 team MVP after leading the IL with 154 hits. In 183 career games in Buffalo, Feliciano's hit .331 (226-682) -the highest batting average in the club's Modern Era (OF DAVE CLARK, .327).
F-MART UPDATE: OF FERNANDO MARTINEZ was transferred to Single-A St. Lucie in his attempt to return from a left hamstring strain. Martinez missed 23 games since being placed on the DL on May 14. The outfielder hit .244 (20-82) with two home runs and nine RBI in 22 games prior to the injury.
TURN IT UP: INF JUSTIN TURNER has hit in all ten games he's been with Buffalo. Turner was designated for assignment by Baltimore on May 21 after playing 23 games with Norfolk to begin the season. In his time with the Bisons, the infielder has averaged .341 (14-41) with five RBI and six runs scored.
MY PAL VAL: INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI hit in all four games of the Tides series. Pascucci averaged .466 (7-15) with a double, a home run and four walks. The four-game stretch raised his average 80 points to .259.
METS UPDATE: The Mets (30-27) had a day off yesterday. New York hosts San Diego for the start of a three-game series with the Padres (7:10 p.m.). RHP MIKE PELFREY will start on the mound for tonight's game. New York will then head on a nine-game road trip starting at Baltimore June 11.
