TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Pawtucket Red Sox in the third game of a four-game series at McCoy Stadium (6:05 p.m.). The Herd has won two straight since the break to run its win streak to a season-best six games. Following tomorrow's game, the Bisons will return home for an eight-game homestand against Toledo and Charlotte.

vs. PAWSOX: The Bisons are 4-6 against the Red Sox this season, but have picked up two straight wins to begin this series. Buffalo has not won a four-game series against the PawSox since July 28-31, 2009. The last time they won a four-game set at McCoy Stadium was April 27-30, 2007.

TRAVELING MAN : RHP CHRIS SCHWINDEN will make his first start for the Bisons since May 27 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. From June 1 to July 10, the righty was designated for assignment five times, starting with the Mets after his third big league promotion this season. From there he was claimed and DFA'd by the Blue Jays, Indians, Yankees and Mets again. Since rejoining this Bisons, Schwinden has made two scoreless relief appearances (2.2IP).

J-BAY: Mets' OF JASON BAY has joined the Bisons on an MLB injury rehab assignment. Bay suffered a concussion in a game with the Mets on June 15. He joins the Herd from St. Lucie (A) where he was 0-6 with two walks in a pair of rehab games. Bay is a three-time MLB All-Star, including 2009 with Boston.

SILKY: INF JOSH SATIN has reached base eight of his nine plate appearances in the last two games with four hits and four walks. Satin's average is up to .293 (14th in IL), while his .392 on-base percentage is 5th best in the IL. Satin has drawn a free pass in eight of his last nine games (12 total walks).

BISONS BITS: The Bisons six-game win streak is their longest since a seven-game stretch, August 5-11, 2010...The Bisons are the third team in the IL to reach 90 homers this season. Buffalo had 101 homers in all of 2011...With 59 stolen bases on the season, the Bisons have the most steals since they swiped 59 during the 2008 season...OF FRED LEWIS has three home runs in the past two games. Last night was his second two-homer game this year as he also hit a pair of home runs on June 24 in Durham.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (46-41) lost 7-5 to the Braves in a three-hour, 47-minute marathon in Atlanta last night. Former Bisons LHP JOSH EDGIN made his MLB debut and allowed a pair of runs in 1.1 innings of work. NL All-Star RHP R.A. DICKEY puts his 12-1 record on the line against the Braves today at 4:05 p.m.
